Design and prototyping for the Smart Insole MIOMOVE, which has built-in pressure sensors for analyzing the athlete’s stepping technique. A sensor with a high measuring range is able to recognise the landing on the heel, tip or centre of the foot. Therefore, a sensor can monitor the distribution of body weight and centre of gravity and creates real-time visualisation to help you find correct running or walking techniques. We worked for 3 weeks in fast sprints on the production of a functional prototype presented at the CES 2020 in Las Vegas. The smart insole has undergone a series of changes with maximum control over functionality and feasibility: concept changes for electronics housing, lower volume of material, better branding and adjustments for the mass production.
